Welcome to LIV—and our Community Keys.

A positive, purposeful social community for people disappointed by the apps, but still deeply hopeful about love.

The Community Keys

A community
worth joining.

Our space is for those disappointed by “the apps” and today’s dating scene, but who still believe in love.

We are 40+, fit—or on our fitness journey—fulfilled, attractive, successful, and financially responsible. God is at the center of our lives. We live with purpose and have much to offer.

We are cautious but ready to find love by dramatically up-leveling our social lives and trying something brave, new, inspired, solid, and fun, while developing our best selves spiritually, physically, socially, relationally, and ultimately romantically.

Our shared commitments

The character
of our community.

Open each key to understand the values, habits, and intentions that shape every Friends First experience.

01
Well-being

Healthy & fit—or on our fitness journey

We strive to live well physically, mentally, and spiritually. We encourage all members to pursue their holistic fitness journey as a priority. It is attractive, and participating in moderately active Vibe Events is at the heart of our experiment.

02
Purpose

Successful & purposeful

We celebrate intentionality, a sense of calling, financial stewardship, and personal growth in all forms. Teamwork makes the dream work.

03
Foundation

Faith community

Generally our members put faith first. We try to keep God at the center of every conversation and connection, trusting Him to bring together wonderful friendships, social joy, and eventually “the One” as we honor Him in our dating dynamic.

04
Presence

Captivating & magnetic

We encourage a stylish, polished, confident, put-together, and modest aesthetic that reflects inner and outer excellence. People appreciate and are attracted to those who invest in this part of the love journey.

05
Connection

Friends First

LIV is based on the statistical premise that friendship can lead to love and marriage. First build genuine friendships, especially with people you find attractive but would not necessarily see as a romance fit immediately. Romance grows naturally from connection. Build on friendship for at least three to six months once you connect with your special person.

06
Trust

Respect privacy, be kind and positive

Authentic, expressive discussions make our community powerful. No gossip, pressure, negativity, bullying, ghosting, profanity, insults, or hate speech. Speak life and encouragement.

07
Encouragement

Be an uplifter

Compliment freely. Celebrate others. Leave people better than you found them. This will pay forward—we promise.

08
Don’t freak out

Bring your whole, growing self

As you look over the Community Guidelines, there may be areas in your life that are stronger than others. This social experiment provides resources—and the environment—to help you become your own version of 10/10.

09
Participation

This is an experimental social community

Vibe Events are at the center of the experiment. Plan to attend carefully curated outings a few times a month and, once acclimated, host Friends First events yourself. They span every spectrum of fun and entertainment and are structured so you feel safe, comfortable, and welcome, without awkwardness or social anxiety. Meeting many great people with shared values is a major differentiator. Plan to attend them all.

10
Eligibility & safety

A clear safety standard

Convicted sex offenders are unable to apply for this social experiment.
